British Novice Championships 2008

On Sunday 23rd Bristol Academy For Wrestling took part in their first competition, the British Novice Championships 2008.

The competition, which saw the best in amateur wrestlers competing for medals, were held at Manchester YMCA.

Bristol Academy did extremely well with 6 trophies overall, the pick of the bunch coming from Harry Coles who just pipped team mate Ashton Hodder to take the Gold...Click Here for a small video clip of harry in action!

Nottingham Invitational

On Saturday 21st March 2009 we entered 7 wrestlers into the Nottingham Invitational with 10 year old Aston Rowe winning all of his bouts to win gold there were also gold medals for Harry Coles and Michael Smith. Molly Winstone and Sasha Pashaei winning silver medals, Sasha is only five years old, and Tom Nourse winning bronze and Lloyd Snaddon coming forth.


Southern region closed tournament

Sunday the 22nd March 09 we entered 3 wrestlers to the Southern region closed tournament in Brighton Molly Winstone aged 11 Ashton Rowe aged 7 and Hary Coles aged 8 all won gold medals to become Southern region champions for 2009.

 

English Championships

On Saturday 28th March our club entered 6 wrestlers to London to compete in the English championships after a long day we managed to win 4 medals with Molly Winstone and Michael Smith both losing their finals to win silver and Harry Coles and Tom Nourse both winnig bronze
